Boil n' Bubble
A downloadable game for Windows
Current Version - 0.1.531
Boil n' Bubble is an alchemy-based puzzle adventure where you are a budding alchemist setting up shop in an undiscovered frontier. Find various ingredients for your potions, with properties that can only be found out through your own tests and intuition.
This is my first ever long-term game development project, and there's still plenty of development time ahead of it lol. It originally started as a group capstone project for my university, and I decided to expand on it more myself in an independent study. Now that I've graduated, I want to bring this game into its full fruition!
Current Features:
- Ingredients that you can find in the world can be put into a cauldron (which may or may not explode), resulting in potions that you can throw or drink for various effects.
- Use those effects to careen through the air, bust through obstacles, fend off one-eyed toads, and more.
- Write down your findings in a dedicated notebook, filling it with your knowledge as you progress deeper into the frontier.
- As with any exploration into a frontier in history, trade follows closely behind. You can trade potions with specific attributes with a wandering trader in exchange for upgrades and a special ingredient.
Credits (last names are excluded for anonymity's sake):
- Potion, Cauldron, trees, and some ingredient models were made by Amanda.
- Logo and some ingredient icons were drawn by Jacob.
- Programming, music, and the rest of the drawing/modeling was and will be done by me, Isaiah.
Things are very prone to change, so any amount of feedback is welcome!
